Smithfield values relationships, relentless effort and reaching our full potential!

Smithfield values relationships, relentless effort and reaching our full potential!

Smithfield Elementary is a place where not only are students' hearts captured, but their minds are as well. Our mission indicates that we function as a team in order to excel in all areas. Our teachers and staff understand that in order for our students to perform at high levels, a relationship of love and trust must be built first. Smithfield Elementary is such a successful school because of its combination of a deep relationships, continuous improvement strategies, and a commitment to excellence in academics.

Our teachers provide Smithfield students with a strong academic foundation centered on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and research-based strategies. Our teachers have a growth mindset which allows them to meet students wherever they are on the continuum of learning, collect data, and then use that data to make decisions on what skills should be taught next in order to help our students succeed. We also believe that creating time for small group instruction, station work, and interventions will allow us to differentiate learning for all students. For us, it is about being focused, purposeful, and intentional about improving the learning for every single student one step at a time.

Being a Smithfield Wildcat means that you are part of an incredible family that cares for each other and learns every single day together. The pride that we build at Smithfield lasts a lifetime.
