Raising the flag at Patch Middle School

Patch Middle School is one of five Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) schools which serve the military families in Stuttgart, Germany. Patch MS has a current enrollment of nearly 700 students in grades six through eight.

We represent a highly diverse and mobile community where students regularly transition from one duty station to another. Our dedicated teachers understand the unique needs of the military child and they provide a safe and welcoming environment to students. Focusing on each child individually ensures that our students receive the highest quality education to help them become productive citizens and enhance their individual well-being.

Patch MS offers a wide range of classes to help students become college and career ready. In order to ensure success, teachers work in teams to scaffold lessons to meet students' social, emotional, and academic needs. Students have the option to enroll in high school credit classes in Math, German, and Spanish and there are over 20 different elective offerings each year. Courses in Video Communication, Computer Programming, STEM, and Robotics give students an opportunity to explore real-world challenges while courses in Drama, Chorus, Band, Piano, Ceramics, Paintin,g and Photography help students grow their creativity.

The faculty and staff of Patch Middle School are privileged to serve our nation and the families of the United States military. As Principal Rick Renninger says, "We have the greatest students from the most supportive families in the world. It is our sincere honor to provide them with the very best education possible."
