Nineteen Years of Excellence!

Nineteen Years of Excellence!

Cross Timbers Elementary is part of a small, interwoven community in Azle, Texas. Located just miles from the DFW metropolis, there is a diverse population of students both ethnically and socioeconomically. Teachers, staff, and parent volunteers work together to create a sense of community and family within the school. Students arrive each day ready with the 5 P's: Present, Punctual, Prepared, Participating, and Polite. Using this mantra, teachers and parents recognize that every minute of the day is valued and utilized for maximum effectiveness. The staff at CTE believe all students can be successful and recognize that just as each child is unique, so is each child's successes. Teachers and staff at CTE set high expectations for each child, and every effort is made to address individual learning needs. All those who work within the walls of CTE recognize that students' basic needs must be met before learning can begin, and the campus utilizes every resource available within its community to meet those needs. Teachers align student academics to state standards, ensuring that learning is purposeful and vertically aligned. Teachers and staff integrate new curriculum seamlessly with proven methods of instruction, always working to provide education of the highest quality to students. Morning tutoring, a hallmark at CTE, is offered all year and provides students with further opportunities for student success. As part of a small community, students and staff at CTE receive support and celebrate success with the entire Azle community. Cross Timbers is a great place to be!
