Scioto Ridge Elementary School is a K-5 elementary school serving a population of 504 students and is currently in its 18th year of existence. Scioto Ridge is one of 15 elementary schools in the Olentangy Local School District which is located near the State Capital of Columbus, Ohio and is one of the nation's fastest growing areas. Many cultures and nationalities are represented in the student body which is composed of a wide variety of students, including those identified gifted and students with a vast array of disabilities. The mission statement for the Olentangy Local Schools is to "facilitate the maximum learning for every student", and Scioto Ridge's staff work very hard to fulfill that goal daily.

The instructional approach and philosophy of Scioto Ridge Elementary School is: students come first! This is evidenced by a staff that can speak not only to their students' learning styles and strengths but also to their students' outside interest and family lives. The staff continually breathes belief into their students which inspires the students to be willing to take risks, persevere, and to achieve their maximum potential.

Scioto Ridge Elementary School is proud to have a strong relationship with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and other agencies and businesses serving the community. Through their supportive efforts and our dedicated staff, our students enjoy a wonderful experience called: Scioto Ridge Elementary School!
