New Hartford Senior High School; Empowered, Motivated, Caring.

New Hartford Senior High School is at the heart of a New England-style village nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains and through which runs a historic travel route of the Iroquois Confederacy. Despite recent years of slow economic growth in Upstate New York, New Hartford Senior High continues to embody the worthy values of its community, maintaining a tradition of excellence and immense opportunities for children. As the heavy industry of the past gives way to the high tech future, New Hartford Senior High envisions itself as a catalyst for, and driver of, technological innovation. It is preparing students for college level work in STEM fields while emphasizing 21st century learning skills that leverage cloud-based technologies for collaboration and research. New Hartford Senior High offers a guaranteed and viable curriculum that balances the arts and sciences, and is based on a common language of instruction for teachers and learners. The foundation for student instruction is the New Hartford Framework for Teaching, a culmination of school district best practices and contemporary research. New Hartford Senior High is part of a community that ensures a stimulating educational environment where everyone can learn, can succeed, and is valued. The community strives for all students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be lifelong learners and productive members of a changing society, and as such, is committed to: a student-focused program; an empowered, motivated and caring school community; continuous innovation; integrity; and sensitivity to all.
