Seoul American Elementary School (SAES) is a Department of Defense School [DoDDS] in Seoul, South Korea, serving US military-connected children on Yongsan Army Garrison. It is the largest of the 12 schools in the Pacific West region of DoDDS-Pacific schools overseas, serving almost 1000 students with 128 staff members.

SAES is a dynamic school, where teachers and parents are dedicated and work hard each day, to help children achieve their highest academic goals and potential. Our garrison commander and military community are among our greatest partners in education. Service members can be seen on our campus each day, inspiring and motivating our students as they volunteer in a myriad of ways.

Our curriculum is based on U.S. National Standards. In addition to the traditional American core curriculum, we offer coursework in art, music, P.E., Spanish, computer and Korean culture. After-school activities include STEAM, choir, yearbook, art, drama, cooking, Korean culture, karate, and many more clubs. We are honored and proud of our role, in supporting our military families who serve overseas.

Being located in a foreign country, our students' study trips offer unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to be a part of a global, world-class education. Our rich cultural environment, our diverse students and staff, our supportive, committed parents, our exemplary teachers and dedicated district support, and our outstanding military leadership and support, foster a spirit of sustained achievement at Seoul American Elementary School, and ensure our students are performing at the Blue Ribbon level of EXCELLENCE, each day.
