St. Mary's Academy Lower School - Englewood, CO

The beautiful campus of St. Mary

The beautiful campus of St. Mary's Academy of Denver.

St. Mary's Academy Lower School is a Junior K-5th grade Independent Catholic school, currently serving 210 students from the Denver metro area, established over 150 years ago by the Sisters of Loretto. The Loretto school values of faith, community, justice, and respect are the most influential factors of our success. The student body is comprised of a diverse cultural and ethnic population and includes students from all over the world. Visitors say they can feel the special spirit of this school. We help students achieve success in all areas of their lives. This includes academic success through a rigorous curriculum and emotional success supported with a rich balance of music, art, technology, athletics, world languages, and daily opportunities to play and form friendships. When walking into classrooms, students and teachers are discussing the attitudes of learning and how faith can strengthen resolve, perseverance, and confidence as students are challenged. We provide a generous tuition assistance program for many of our families. Our community is built and strengthened because all feel welcomed. Parents, grandparents, our middle and high school students, community members, and faculty are interwoven into daily routines. Growing leaders is a key focus at our school for both students and faculty. Students learn to respect and value each other and view themselves as unique and confident individuals. Monthly service projects are led by students and promote an awareness of others' needs. Students are inspired to help others and make our world a better place.
