Immanuel Christian School - Springfield, VA

ICS inspires students for lives of learning, godliness and service.

ICS inspires students for lives of learning, godliness and service.

Immanuel Christian School began a tradition of excellence in 1976 when we opened our doors with the mission to assist Christian parents in providing a sound education for their children through the integration of faith and learning. An education that offers God's truth in a Christian environment prepares a child for future achievement and success and, more importantly, for a life of joy and purpose. We challenge our students spiritually, academically, artistically, and athletically in a safe and nurturing environment with exceptionally qualified teachers. Our curriculum develops critical and creative thinking using integrated literature and social studies units, project-based learning, and robust yet developmentally appropriate instructional resources in all content areas.

All classrooms are equipped with interactive Smart Boards and teachers employ tiered lessons in computer proficiency utilizing computer lab work stations and mobile computer carts. Our facilities include fully equipped science labs, a dedicated fine arts classroom and art gallery, an 18,000 volume library, a self-contained kindergarten wing with an outdoor exploration area, secure playground, and athletic fields. Students participate in organized sports competition through our membership in the Capital Athletic Conference. At Immanuel, we believe that a life of character begins with service, so we provide authentic service opportunities for all our students throughout the school year.
Inspired for intellectual discovery, inspired for service, and inspired for lives of purpose: these are the goals of an Immanuel education.
