Victory Early College Students-Discovering Their Destiny

Victory Early College Students-"Discovering Their Destiny"

Victory Early College High School emerged in 2007 from a well-established history between Lone Star College North Harris and Aldine Independent School District. It is an exemplary representation of the strong partnership the two entities engage in to reach low income students, first generation students, students of color, and other students underrepresented in higher education. Victory Early College High School students choose to leave the traditional high school experience and take on the challenge of completing high school coursework taught at Pre-Advanced Placement, Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and college levels. The accomplishments the students are achieving is a product of the learning environment, the innovative pedagogy, and the community of partners working together to raise the bar of excellence. The school promotes and encourages student success by incorporating active learning, engaging students in critical thinking and utilizing a variety of strategies based on sound educational research. Student success has brought national, state, and local recognition to Victory. Beginning in 2013, the school has been recognized for excellence three consecutive years by US News and World Report. Other distinctions include Outstanding Student Achievement for having a consistent attendance rate of 98% or above; National Center for Educational Achievement as being a Higher Performing School; and National School of Distinction in recognition of Outstanding Service to Fight Hunger. Victory is proud of the standard of excellence it has established and looks forward to continuing the tradition for years to come.
