South Crowley Elementary School - Crowley, LA

During

During 'Friday Morning Ceremony', the SCE family proudly celebrates achievements!

The students of South Crowley Elementary (SCE) are proving, without a doubt, that despite facing social, economic, and academic challenges, they can not only perform at high levels but thrive if given the right instruction and environment. Although the socioeconomic statistics facing the families of SCE are daunting, with a poverty level of 113.2% greater than the national average, our students continue to flourish both academically and socially.

South Crowley Elementary maintains an environment conducive to learning with mutual respect for students, staff, and parents. We believe that people, not programs, make the difference. High quality, student-centered instruction is delivered with every instructional minute being protected. Incentive programs and accomplishments acknowledged at our Friday Morning Ceremonies are designed to foster strong work ethics and a sense of pride in our students.

Every decision made at SCE is based on what is in the best interest of students. We remind ourselves that this is a "kids" business and that students are the ones we serve. We instill, very early, the importance of learning. Each morning we recite the following creed: “I am somebody. I was somebody when I came, I’ll be a better somebody when I leave. I am powerful. I am strong. I deserve the education I get here. I have things to do, people to impress and places to go.” The students of South Crowley Elementary are doing just that!
