National Honor Society-National Beta Club- School Beautification Project, September 4, 2015

Baton Rouge Magnet High School, located in the Mid-City area of Baton Rouge, Louisiana is a dedicated magnet school with a focus on academics and the arts. The wealth of learning opportunities across the curriculum have resulted in a solid, college-readiness foundation with offerings in honors, Advanced Placement, and dual enrollment at all grade levels to a diverse population. We pride ourselves on pushing the boundaries of conventional learning through best practices, encouraging academic connections that will enhance the vision of the school. Our Advanced Placement opportunities this year alone have produced 158 scholars, two State scholars, twenty National scholars, and an International Diploma scholar. We continue the tradition of having more students recognized by the National Merit and National Achievement Programs than any other school in the city---public or private.

To increase academic achievement and enhance creativity in the visual and performing arts, the faculty engages in continual learning and self-improvement within the teaching profession. We also strongly believe that collaboration with our parents and community makes for a successful school program. With both AM and FM student-operated radio stations, talented visual and performing-arts programs, lifetime sports, a culturally rich population, and rich academic experiences, our school is unique among high schools in the area. Baton Rouge Magnet High School has a graduation rate of 100%. Celebrating every day the smallest to the largest achievements creates an atmosphere and culture of high expectations for all.
