Students using iPads for an Art project

Saint Mary Academy, a Catholic school located in Prospect, Kentucky, serves students in preschool through eighth grade. Our goal is to empower all children to reach their highest potential through differentiation of the curriculum, project-based learning, targeted skill groups, and one-on-one or small group work. In addition to the core academic areas, students may participate in a wide range of enrichment opportunities, such as: Minds-in-Motion, athletic teams, academic teams, Junior Master Gardener program, chess, robotics, choir, archery, Kentucky Youth Assembly, and Kentucky United Nations Assembly. Every grade level offers a school-wide performance during the course of each year and participates in a Service Outreach Project. Saint Mary Academy is equipped with state-of-the-art technology throughout the school building. The faculty integrates technology across all academic areas at all grade levels. Our 1:1 technology initiative provides an iPad to every student in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and to every teacher. Classroom sets of iPods, Chrome Books, and iPads are available to primary and intermediate students. Professional development workshops are embedded in the school year to enable our talented teachers to better develop 21st century learners who can explore, discover, problem solve, collaborate, and effectively communicate and support knowledge and ideas. At Saint Mary Academy we are working in partnership with parents to build a foundation for lifelong learning by opening hearts to faith, opening minds to knowledge, opening hands to service, opening eyes to the world, achieving extraordinary lives!
