Our Principal participating in PE class with students!

From the moment a child steps into Lincoln Elementary School in River Forest, Illinois, s/he becomes a member of a special community--the Lincoln Family. From kindergarten to fourth grade, every student receives the special kind of treatment common to family environments, but rarely expected in a public school setting. As members of the Lincoln family, students receive superb academic instruction designed to meet their individual needs. Whether it’s reading, math, music, technology, physical education, or art, teachers and a staff of highly qualified specialists use research-based best practices to teach students based on interest, ability, and learning style. Creating healthy, responsible, and conscientious citizens is valued alongside high academic standards at Lincoln Elementary. We live our “Caring Kids Pledge” and teach students about character, helping the community, and caring for ourselves and others. Our family includes parents and community members, who volunteer, teach, and run programs to help all students meet their potential. Each child is nurtured academically, socially, and emotionally by all the caring, dedicated adults in the Lincoln family. By doing so, we are able to deliver the district’s mission, “To inspire a love of learning and ensure educational excellence for every child.”
