Hoboken Elementary School... A Great Place to Learn!

Hoboken Elementary School... A Great Place to Learn!

Hoboken Elementary boasts a rich learning heritage with a strong commitment to excellence. Our 88 year-old school hallways echo with the laughter of our students and are a place where children are loved, encouraged, supported, and held to high standards for learning, behavior, and performance. Our mission statement of “Making a difference by inspiring students to Believe, Achieve, and Succeed” is the shared focus at HES. Our school is the center of pride in our small town and receives amazing parent and community support. Hoboken Elementary has always valued relationships with families and the community and believes that these partnerships are the key to helping our students succeed in school and in later life. All members of our staff share a collective responsibility for increasing student achievement and strengthening individual talents through a focus on rigor, relevance, and relationships. We recognize that a well-rounded, engaging curriculum helps students learn and prepares them for real-world experiences. Teachers engage students with rich, meaningful, and thoughtfully planned learning activities that provide experiences to accommodate a variety of learning styles. Proudly, in 2012, 2013, and 2014, HES was recognized as a Title 1 Highest Performing Reward School for being among the top scoring schools in Georgia on the CRCT. Only the top 5% of Georgia’s Title 1 schools received this prestigious reward. Hoboken Elementary believes that our extraordinary test results and strong academic record are direct results of our positive and supporting environment that encourages students to believe in themselves and excel.
