NBRS Badge for Prairie View Elementary School

Prairie View Elementary School - North Prairie, WI

Pawsitively Prairie View!

"Pawsitively" Prairie View!

One of six elementary schools in the Mukwonago Area School District, Prairie View Elementary is a challenging and exciting student-centered learning community. The mission of the school is, "... to help all members of our school community realize and achieve their fullest potential in a rapidly changing world by promoting active learning, respectful actions, and critical thinking in a secure, supportive, child-centered environment." The staff lives this mission every day, realizing that success looks different for each student in our care. The school continuously strives to individualize its teaching approach, helping the whole child experience success.

Consistent expectations encourage our students to be responsible for themselves. Prairie View devotes considerable effort creating an environment where courtesy and kindness prevail; where there is respect for differences in other people, customs, and cultures. Prairie View’s "Guidelines for Success - I am Responsible; I am Respectful; I am Cooperative; I am Safe; I am Smart" - are instrumental in helping our students succeed in all areas of life.

A positive working relationship between school and home is crucial to our achievement. The school is privileged to have involved families and a supportive community as enthusiastic partners in the education process. Prairie View is honored, yet humbled, to be selected as one of Wisconsin’s nominees. We proudly represent all of our district schools as a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School.
